New Immigration Law and Permits
First of all:
The number of residence titles has been reduced to two.
The new law now provides only the residence permit (Aufenthaltserlaubnis) and the
permanent settlement permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis).
The focus of this site is on labour migration.
For highly qualified persons, self-employed individuals and students the new legislation offers
opportunities to receive a permit to stay in Germany.
