Finding a Job in Germany
Due to social and political changes in the last ten years and because of an insufficient educational system,
there is a lack of highly qualified manpower in certain fields of work and science in Germany.
The most wanted qualified employees are natural scientists, engineers,
professors and scientific personnel in high technology areas.
The new immigration law now allows people from abroad to stay in Germany and even get
a permanent residence permit, presumed they have a precise job offer and
the German Employment Agency has agreed.
In Germany, there is a central agency responsible for placing applicants
from abroad with German firms: the Central Placement Office (ZAV - Zentralstelle
für Arbeitsvermittlung der Bundesagentur für Arbeit) in Bonn.
The ZAV works in conjunction with the other agencies of the Federal Employment Agency:

In some cases, the ZAV may help you, but mostly you need to get information about companies and
job offers from other sources.
